Well, I thought this weekend at work wasn't going to be very lucrative - but I was wrong!! Friday night we were really slow, but I guess the managers like me or maybe they feel sorry for me now that I have to pay bills. ha ha Anyway, they hooked me up with a few parties, so I was happy. I had to stay late as hell on Friday night because I got a party of 20 at like 10 p.m. We close at 10. So, of course I was the last one out. This party was funny though because they were really cheap. 5 people didn't eat and about 10 people shared appetizers. It wasn't even worth staying open late for them. The best part was when I dropped the bill at the end. Even though they didn't eat much, they did get a round of drinks, so the bill was a little over 400 dollars (our menu is pretty pricey). They pulled out pens and paper and a copy of the menu and sat there doing calculations for about 25 minutes. It was so bad that I had to stand right next to the table and watch them to make sure they didn't leave without paying. They were some of the most low-class people that I've ever had to wait on. Thank god for automatic gratuity. I am quite certain they would have stiffed me on the tip if they could have.
Saturday night was much better. Andre Agassi had his Charity Event last night in the Grand Garden Arena and the tickets were VERY pricey. Apparently food was included only if you bought a table for like $10,000 or something like that - so we were very busy. It was a pretty good night.
I've been a little relaxed on posting pictures lately. I finally uploaded the shots I took from the Tao Anniversary Party last week. Janet Jackson was hosting the event and it was by invitation only. Believe me - I'm not that important - a friend of mine had an invitation, so that's how I was able to go.
Here's some random shots of people from the party that I know...
I have no idea what's going on with this picture of me - but it looks kinda cool...
I also went to the Palms pool to hangout recently. We had a really nice cabana with a t.v. and a refrigerator etc. It was a lot of fun. I saw Dennis Rodman while I was there. He had a cabana right across from us. Here's some shots...
I'm still a little undecided as to whether I like the Red Rock pool or the Palms pool better. They are both pretty beautiful. You definitely see more celebs at the Palms though.
I'm actually off today and tomorrow - yay!!!! I'm feeling pretty happy about that. A friend of mine is opening a new restaurant and I'm gonna be working there part-time for a while. I think it's going to open in like a week so I gotta get myself ready. I'll be working 12 at night to 6 in the morning 3 nights a week. I have to work that shift because I don't want this job to interfere with my other job. Ahhhhh - 2 jobs - so much fun. I went from not working at all for like 6 months to having 2 jobs now.
Hope you guys had a good weekend :)
