SuperBowl Wrap-Up
Okay, if I ever ever ever root for a team, you should bet on the opposite. I swear. I suck at this sports thing. I root for teams for dumb reasons though (like the color of the uniform, the cuteness of the quarterback or if I ever lived in the state). I root against teams if they ever beat the Ravens in the playoffs (thus my dislike for the Colts).
I gotta say that I wasn't impressed with the SuperBowl commercials this year. Why so many do gooder ads? I mean, like all of the Black History Month ads, the service announcements for heart disease and the sappy coca-cola commercials. They all sucked ass. BORING. I did enjoy the Bud Light advertisements. They got my vote for most creative and definitely most entertaining. Don, Aaron, and I got a really good laugh when we watched the K-Fed commercial. Love him or hate him, at least he knows how to make fun of himself and he can take a joke.
Yesterday I met the boyz over at the Venetian around 1:30 p.m. The tourney started at noon. When I arrived Don was still playing and so was
Chad. I bought in for $300 over at the 1-2 NL table and Don got knocked out of the tourney 5 minutes later. So, I cashed out and we headed to our favorite donkfest - the MGM Grand. We ran into Ray over there, he decided to play cash all day and skipped the tourney. As usual, I played my ultra conservative and tight game. It paid off and I made a profit. Good day. I had fun. I love walking way with more money than I started with.
Don at the MGM...
Me at the MGM...
I guess Aaron didn't do so hot on his sports picks. I'll let you go over to his blog and read about that - but here he is about to rip up the tickets...
Well, it's Sunday night and I'm not feeling quite as happy as I was on Friday afternoon. Life is NEVER as happy on Sunday night as it is on Friday - but I'll live. Have a good Monday :)

No wonder you wanted me to stop there so you could take my picture, of courses you had to get the Hee Haw machine in backround.
Any significance?

What did you play at MGM? 3-6 limit? Tight is the only way to play over there...you're not going to bluff and you'd better go to war with a good hand or else. I experienced that this weekend.
I wish I had Vegas poker nearby.
How does the NL game go for you? I gotta play that once when I come up.
I agree with you on the commercial. The Kevin Federline one was the only one that made me laugh - well, the roshambo Bud Light one was pretty funny too.

I don't like the Colts either. Nothing against Payton, but after the Colts slipped outta Charm City in the middle of the night, they are dead to me. Liked the Snickers commercial and the two rodents trying to use the mouse. Why is the MGM a donk-fest? The tourists? I've been pretty profitable there on my trips to Vegas. Maybe I was a lucky donk.

Thanks for the pictures, Carmen. I posted a cropped version on my blog. That was great.

Good pics, wish I could get out to Vegas more often. And I agree, the K-Fed commercial was probably my favorite one. I actually laughed and (gasp!) gained a little (just a little) respect for the dude.

Nice stack... of chips you have there.

Carmen: the answer to your question is the low side of 40. And "cocky" and "sort of stuck on himself" is an understatement! He lied about his age, too. BUT he says he is "a 'find' at any distance" so perhaps I should reconsider. LOL!!!
