I'm a winner dammit!

For once, I feel like a winner when I left the Rio tonight. I was heading home and I pulled up to the light that leads out to Flamingo Road when an older lady was trying to cut in front of me and turn into my lane. I stopped and let her go ahead of me, because I guess I was in a good mood or something and I decided to be nice for a change. She rolled down her window and let me know that there was a huge accident just over the bridge and the highway was VERY backed up. SCORE!!!!!!!!! I immediately moved over to the right lane and took the side roads home. DAMN I should be nice more often.

Why was I in a good mood when I left tonight? Well, maybe it was nice to see Phil Helmuth smiling as he made World Series of Poker history when he won his 11th bracelet tonight. Pretty amazing.

Or maybe it's because I got another article done in record time. I worked my ass off tonight, and that always feels good.

I saw Steve Danneman for the first time this year. He just flew in last night. I had a great ice breaker because he lives in Arnold, MD. which is about 5 minutes down the road from where I grew up. He was really sweet.

I finally feel like I'm over the nervous stage! I was a little overwelmed the first few days at the Rio and I was unsure as to how I should approach people - especially well-known people. Tonight was way different! I was going up to people left and right - every single one of them was cool as hell. Seems that just about everyone is happy to talk to a member of the media.

I will tell you this - I've lost about 5 pounds in the past week and although I love losing weight, I hate it when my boobs shrink and they are shrinking! You can't help it when you lose weight. Let's see, it's 11:32 p.m. and I had a little frozen weight watchers meal for lunch. That's it! I'm terrible. It's just that I know when I'm working 13 hour days, I can't eat big meals because I'll get tired and crash. So, instead of putting some thought and energy into finding a nice light balanced meal, I just don't eat. Not always a good thing. I feel fine right now, I'm kind of annoyed that all of my clothes are too big, but whatever. I think that I need to start eating better or else I won't make it to the main event.

She was so cool and fun! She was nice enough to sit down with me tonight at the Rio and talk to me about her experiences in the ladies event at the WSOP. Cool chic! Nice cleavage and all around great personality. I can't wait to hangout with her again. I think Waffles would agree...






The blogger weekend was a blast!

Love Elf and I really bonded at the last blogger gathering and the time before that when her and smokkee came out to Vegas. Awesome couple. Can't wait to go to the wedding!!

Irongirl sat down with me yesterday and let me interview her. What a great attitude. She had just busted out of the ladies event and she was still smiling! Wow! I always go sulk in a corner for a few hours after busting out. I'm such a wuss.
