Another Weekend GONE!
This weekend flew by like every other weekend. Friday night me and Doug and his brother, Orion (apparently I had his name wrong this entire week - I thought his name was Ryan, but no, it's Orion) and Vanessa went over to the new Planet Hollywood. Um - wow! I was IMPRESSED with the new casino. It's so modern and pretty and brand new and clean and WOW - they had all these cool flourescent lights and the poker room was pretty damn cool and um - can we please talk about the buffet? LOOK - I've said it before, and I'll say it again - I don't like buffets.
The food is usually sub par, it's never very good, I don't eat enough to get my money's worth and they just get on my nerves in general.

HOWEVER - the Spice Market Buffet at Planet Hollywood is THE SHIT! I couldn't believe it. I almost passed out when I saw how much Doug paid for the four of us. I kept thinking we could have gone to a nice restaurant where they actually wait on you for that price. But I was wrong. The buffet was GREAT.
I think this picture says it all - they made cotton candy for you! COTTON CANDY PEOPLE!!!!!!!

What restaurant do you know of that will make fresh cotton candy for you??????
They had the BEST dessert bar I've ever seen. I ate 3 - count them - 3 different desserts along with nice big tasty steamed shrimp and Alaskan King Crab Legs and Asian food, and Italian food, and Sushi and a salad bar and Prime Rib and well, you get it - they had a lot of food and it was good. GO TO PLANET HOLLYWOOD the next time you are in town.
Let's talk POKER! The Poker room was finally complete. No more construction - very nice looking room - very spacious and modern and open!

They also run "The Grinder" tournaments three nights a week and they have a Ladies tourney every Tuesday. I might do a writeup soon about tournaments around town, so stay tuned for that.

After eating, we headed over to see Hans Klok and Pamela Anderson in the magic show. Okay, I think I'm going to do a review for LasVegasVegas.com, so I'm not going to go into too much detail here - but Hans is a cheese ball. He's a total tool. I wasn't impressed with him. I liked the dancers and the costumes - the girls were HOT and the dances were fun to watch. Miss Anderson came on stage for a total of 8 minutes. It was a 90 minute show and she was on stage all of 3 times and didn't even make an appearance until an hour into the show.

I have to say it - DAMN she's HOT. Her body is so muscular and toned. You can see the muscles bulging out of her legs when she is on stage and she was very entertaining. I fell in love with her all over again.

We went to the Caesar's Palace Pool on Saturday like planned. UM - well - let me see - how can I say this? YUCK!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not kidding - it was the worst pool I've been to so far. I'll be doing a review tonight, but I was NOT impressed. I expected a lot more from this place and it didn't meet my expectations.
I got to wear my new bikini though...

Vanessa and Orion liked it...

They said I'm spoiled because they didn't see anything wrong with the pool. And, well, they are right. After going to a different pool every week, I'm kind of an expert on pools and yeah, I'm spoiled but whatever. I know what I like and I know that the little details are what will either make or break a pool. The one good thing I'll say about Caesar's is that they didn't ask for a room key. Anyone can walk in. This is good if you want to lay out at the pool and you aren't staying there. This is NOT good if you are a paying customer and you want to lay out and you get there late in the day. You'll have NO shot of getting a chair.
I saw Rush Hour 3 on Saturday night. I didn't love it. I remember loving the 1st one. I can't even remember what happened in the 2nd one, but I was just so so about the 3rd one. We had free tickets though, so whatever.
Well, that was my weekend. Hope you guys are enjoying your monday!

If i remember correctly Treasure Island had Cotton Candy at their buffet too last year. I had always heard great things about the Aladdins Buffet but alas have yet to make it to Planet Ho.

Holy crap. Do you have an ounce of fat anywhere? You look AMAZING.
I was going to tell you that I'll be in Vegas Oct. 19, 20 and 21, but I can't be around you. I would literally be AROUND you.

good to know about the pool. I've always wanted to stay at Cesar's, but the pool is a big part of the equation.

I'm pretty leery of buffets too. They don't usually have enough good stuff on them to get your money's worth. Except breakfast buffets. I can just eat tons of bacon and then get a couple of waffles from the waffle station and then maybe a couple of omelets and make sure I get money's worth there.
I agree with Rockdog about you always reminding me what's awesome about Vegas. I really regret not moving there many years ago when I had a chance.

Ok, so seriously. What exactly did you not like about the pool?
Also, a buffet? That was good? Surely you jest...

Man, Pamela Anderson is STILL hot. Britney Spears is like a hundred years younger and she's already gone to pot.
So how was Orion's belt? Was it all it's cracked up to be?
