OCD or what?
A curious thing happened at the Planet Hollywood Buffet on Friday night. We sat down and got our food and Doug notices that the guy at the table next to us took a plastic bag out of his pocket, placed it on the chair and then sat on top of it. He says to me "well, that's odd" and points it out to me. Okay, so I continue eating and keep my eye on this guy. He takes a few bites of his food, gets up, picks up the plastic bag, picks up his glass of water and pours some of it on his seat and then takes his napkin and completely wipes down the seat and then puts his plastic bag back down and sits on top of it. Now I'm cracking up laughing. I don't know why this particular scene has me in stitches, but it does and I CANNOT stop laughing. Then Doug's brother comes back to the table and wants to know why the three of us are laughing and I start laughing even harder as I'm trying to tell the story and nonchalantly point out this guy.
So, the guy gets up to get his 2nd plate of food. He folds his plastic bag (which, is really just a white trash bag) and puts it in his pocket, he takes his bottle of coke with him (he brought it in with him, he didn't order it) and he takes his jacket - basically he takes all of his belongings with him to the buffet, gets more food, comes back to the table, unfolds his trash bag and places it back on the seat and starts eating. About 2 minutes later he gets up, picks up the trash bag, pours more water on the seat, wipes it down with another napkin, puts his trash bag back down on the seat and sits back down and continues eating.
He did this about 3 more times. Every single time he sat down first, took a few bites and then got back up and did the water thing. I wanted to take a picture SO BAD because this was truly a blog worthy tale and I wanted to share this scene with you guys, but my camera sucks, and the flash is bright and he would have totally known if I was taking a picture of him and I started feeling a little bad for laughing at him. I mean, obviously he has some sort of OCD thing going on.
Here's the part I don't understand. Is it a cleanliness thing? Cause if it is, why is he eating at a buffet anyway? I think we all know that buffets are like the LAST place to visit if you are worried about germs. I mean, look at all the people leaning over the food, sneezing and coughing and touching the plates and utensils and breathing on the containers holding the food - it's really quite nasty if you think about it. I try not to.
Anyway, it was quite a scene.
Sunday I watched an interesting movie called The Prestige. It was about two magicians that were constantly battling and trying to figure out each other's magic tricks. I didn't think I was going to like it, but I was wrong. It was actually pretty good.
Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale and Scarlett Johansson were the main characters, but Piper Perabo and David Bowie and Michael Caine were in it too.
I never realized how hot Christian Bale is...
And usually I'm the first one to say that Scarlet is over-rated. I never could see what the big deal about her was. I think I might have changed my mind after watching her in this movie - she is quite lovely...
Boobs, Injuries and Dr. Pepper (Crystal) is coming to vegas in October. This is like the equivalent of my boyfriend meeting Jessica Alba. Um, no not really, but I love her! She is like the first blog I pull up every morning. She starts my day off on a happy note - she always makes me laugh and she's a great writer. I actually branched off into reading other blogs (besides poker) because of her. I'm psyched that I finally get to meet her.
Mookie and his clan of 11 people are coming to Vegas this weekend! Yay! I always look forward to meeting up with Mookie and Mrs. Mookie. They are staying at the MGM and that pleases me. I hope to get an MGM room key from them since I haven't done that pool review yet :)
