Last Day at Work!
Tomorrow (Friday) is my last day of work, so today the girls from my office took me this restaurant called Panevino for lunch.
These are the girls...
It was perfect because it wasn't all forced, and I got to go out and have a nice lunch with the people I actually LIKE from work. My boss wasn't there and that was a good thing because we wouldn't have been real if he was there. It would have been "fake" and "business like". The girls I work with are the shit and they are the one thing I'll miss from this company. They do this thing where we work that when it's your birthday, they buy you a cake from Costco and everyone in the company gathers in the conference room and sings happy birthday. It's a nice idea in theory, but I hate it so much because we have to gather with the group of people next door that on a normal basis, talk shit about us behind our backs, send us nasty e-mails all the time, and fucking basically make our lives hell at work. But, for this one day we have to suffer through this awkardness of singing happy birthday to someone along with the owner and all the other big wigs that don't even usually say hi to us. SO GAY! Don't pretend to be a loving caring company and then fucking tell us we can't take the day off when a family member is in the hospital because "things are just too crazy and you need us at work". Bullshit! I won't miss that birthday thing at all.
So, at lunch today, there was 3 girls that wanted to treat me and only one of me. So, this place has the most kick ass desserts and I LOVE desert. So, I had just a small pasta salad for lunch which one girl paid for and then each of the other two girls bought me desert. I actually have on here at home with me that I'm going eat while I watch Survivor.
My lunch...
Am I going a little crazy with my new camera? I mean, who takes pictures of their food? Well, I do. I'm a visual person, I like to see things. It drives me nuts sometimes when I become friendly with a blogger and I can't picture what they actually look like. I'll have an image in my head and it's NEVER right. People always look different than how I would expect them to look.
You guys don't have that problem with me because I put pictures up as often as possible.
See?
So, just to touch on the relationship issue. I know I kind of left you guys wondering what happened with me and Doug. Well, honestly, I'm not really sure. All I know is that he wanted a bunch of drama, his ex girlfriend stole from him, cheated on him, lied to his face, she was very young, and she ended up going back out and using drugs again. I'll give her one thing though, she kept things interesting. He loves chaos and excitement (as I used to) and he didn't really get that with me because I've grown up a lot. I like my relationships to go smoothly and that's just not what he was looking for I guess. Oh well, I guess some of us have to kiss a lot of frogs before we find Prince Charming.
Cute poker guy from the Sahara Tourney wants me to meet up with him this weekend. I might do it.
It's Friday!!!!

I'm very glad you are making healthy decisions and are taking steps to make sure you are treated properly. It will pay off well for you.
I have no experience in any of the areas of drugs and bad relationships. I did stupid things with alcohol when I was younger and I had many women lose interest in me, LOL, but luckily I never considered any of my relationships to be harmful. I just wasn't "the one" they wanted to be with long term. I got hurt a few times, but nothing I couldn't bounce back from within a short amount of time. I'm so thankful that it never worked out with any of the previous women, because I know that none of them can hold a candle to Stacie.
Good luck to you and just let it come your way. It is well worth the wait.
Enjoy your first day at the new job.

I like that you tell us about the normal things in Vegas outside of the strip. It fascinates me how people go to work, school and church in a city that has so much crazyness. My oldest sister used to live and work in Vegas (She had a BSN but was a systems analyst specializing in healthcare.) I don't think she stepped in a casino the entire time she lived there.
You'll get to see what I look like in a day or two. LOL. I think I have a couple of pictures of me buried on my blog. I'm kind of shy about that but I'll take a gazillion pictures with you.

A nice way to go out. The lunch looks very good, but then, I am a chcoholic.
Keep the pictures coming, we all love to see what you are up to.
Remember that you have to stay single until December so me and Blonde can have a slumber party at your place.
Shit, that reminds me, I better get to working out and lose this gut that seems to have attached itself.

Very well said on the Doug thing Carmen. A very close friend who youve met has been looking at the types of women hes been attracted too (I call them the wounded birds who overspend, are borderline personalties etc).... Point Blank he looked at me and smiled and said... You are so not anything like my Estranged wife. MiamiDon once said it best to me... To your own self be true.
