Made it thru...

Okay, so for all of you readers out there waiting with baited breath to see if I made it through Thanksgiving without drinking or drugging - the answer is YES! I made it! I even had fun. How about that? Basically, I got up, took Lucy to the mountain and didn't stop moving the whole day.

Dinner at Suzanne's house was great and I couldn't have asked for better company. I've really made some great friends out here in Vegas. I'm lucky!

Us addicts clean up well huh?

Anyway, after dinner I went to this meeting and then I met my friend David over at the Red Rock Poker Room for some live NL action. It was a blast. I had a great table, I made some money and it was a good time. By the time I got home around 11 p.m. I was ready for bed (after I lost 2 sit and go's on FT or course).

This morning I got up and took Lucy to the mountain nice and early. Notice the bed, Lucy takes up 3 quarters of it and I get that sliver on the very right hand side. It's no wonder I wake up with a back and neck ache every morning...

Anyway, it was pretty cold because all of a sudden it's cold here now. Go figure. That's how Vegas is, hot one day and then all of a sudden it's freezing. There's like, no Fall. So, Lucy gets out of the van goes sprinting up the hill of course and I'm taking my good old time walking up there. I sit down on the rocks for a while, we both decide it's cold and we head back down to the van. This is when I realize the key isn't in my sweatshirt anymore. UH OH!!!! I went down to the van and it was nowhere to be found. So, for the next 30 minutes I had to scour the hillside looking for the DAMN KEY the fell out of my sweatshirt pocket. It was one of those GAP sweatshirts with the pocket in the middle, so I should have known not to put it in there in the first place. I finally found it thank god. Can you imagine if Don got home and his van was stuck at the mountain because I couldn't find the key? ha ha. He'd love that.

THEN, I got home and she wouldn't get out of the Van. She just kept sitting there and sitting there and sitting there. I practically had to drag her out, and then she goes sprinting into to the street instead of inside the house - ugh! This girl is cute and all, but she is SO spoiled. She NEVER listens. Especially if she senses another animal in the general vicinity. See, she hates the leash, so I try not to put it on her, but then she doesn't listen. So, what am I to do? Probably put her back on the leash!

Oh, and when I was at the casino last night I ran into Tom. I met Tom back when I was drinking. We played 1-2 together at the Red Rock and he remembered me. Somehow I remember him too even though I was wasted when we played together. It's probably because I have these pictures to commemorate that evening from more than a year ago...

Yes, this is what I do when I'm drinking, I sit in random stranger's laps in the poker room. Tom reads my blog though, so technically he's not a stranger - Hi Tom!

Who remembers the marines from last year's December WPBT??? If you don 't remember, that's a good thing for me :)

Way to make it through the holidays!

As for Lucy - she's a dog, she gets back on the leash if she doesn't listen. You own her, not the other way around, despite what she thinks :).
