James Saga II

When I moved I lost touch with everyone - on purpose. I wanted to get as far away from Maryland as possible and I wanted to forget everyone I had ever come into contact with. I buried that stuff deep within me and it worked for a while. I was pretty successful in not thinking about my past, not dealing with anything back home and consequently in Florida I made a bunch of new friends, new enemies, new ex boyfriends, and created new wreckage. Old habits die hard I guess.

I basically made the exact same mistakes in Florida that I made in Maryland except on a little smaller scale. I guess the old addage is true that you can run but you always take 'you' with you.

Anyway for the next few years I didn't even have a computer and then I moved out here to Vegas and I started this blog with my real name. And then I joined Facebook with my real name and then I got really brave and joined myspace after much prodding from the one friend I had left in Maryland with my real name. Almost instantly the friend requests started flooding in from people back home, people from high school, people I knew from the clubs, people I knew from work, people I thought hated me and I thought I equally hated. Nothing from James though and I was too afraid to ask people how he was and how he was doing for fear that they'd tell me how much he hated me.

I did hear through the grapevine that he got married and I even talked to someone that he said he was in Vegas recently on his honeymoon. Being the good little stalker that I am, I even searched for him on myspace and found him, but I was too afraid to contact him.

And then one day, very recently, I got a friend request from him on myspace. No message, but I guess it was a start...

To be continued

Carm,

Sorry I missed you at the blogger gathering. It looks like you had a good weekend.

I'm heading out to Iraq tomorrow on a work related trip. I'm going to do my best to relate the interesting parts of the trip which may even include poker in a war zone. I hope you can follow along and maybe even pimp a good post if you find one you like.

I hope we can meet up next time I'm in Vegas.

Special K
