She's Gone Finally!
Well, Cloris is finally gone - that's a weight off all of our shoulders. It's hard to tell if she's really as confused and spacy as she acts sometimes or if it's just that - an act. Because, sometimes, she's completely lucid, her comedic timing is spot on and she's funny - and then other times - like last night when she was all over the place and they are trying to corral her and settle her just to get an interview - it's craziness. Especially when she was on Kimmel as all the dancers are when they get kicked off the show. Watch this interview and see for yourself...
Um - yeah - now you know what I mean.
Anyway, moving on...
Last night I bowled my worst set ever. I literally bowled below a 100 every single game and that is very much not like me. I threw more gutter balls than I ever have before and our ringer - the guy that usually carries us - he bowled like shit too. Normally he bowls over 200 every game and last night it just wasn't to be. We ended up losing all of our games and here's the funny thing...
Remember I told you guys about certain people on the league taking this whole bowling thing SO seriously? Well, the team that we bowled against last night seemed nice enough to me, but then I got some background. Appparently the one guy on the team - we'll call him stumpy because he has a really big head and a really small body that just doesn't seem to match. Stumpy gets mad if you pick up your bowling ball off the rack when he's up on the lane bowling. The rules state that you can't get on the lane while a bowler to your immediate left and/or your immediate right are bowling. But, he gets pissed off you even lean over to sort of just pick up your ball. Which is really isn't intrusive and it's only the anal people that get mad about that.
So, like a year ago before I started bowling Jeff on my team and his wife were on a team and his wife did that thing where she leaned over and picked up the ball. Stumpy got in her face and called her a bitch!! Jeff (her husband) wasn't having that and they got into a confrontation and Jeff headbutted Stumpy. Stumpy called the police, Jeff went out of the bowling alley in handcuffs and charges were pressed and Jeff couldn't even enter the bowling alley for like 8 months or something.
Anyway, we bowled against that guy last night! I think I psyched myself out a bit and was sort of scared to bowl because I felt like I was walking on egg shells around him. I didn't want to grab my ball too soon and it was just weird. I think Jeff wanted to win SO bad against this guy that he psyched himself out too.
We still had a great time - I have an awesome team. They are funny and laid back so they never get mad when I bowl like shit which is a good thing.
I always head into the alley a little early because I get off work and go straight there. I usually sit in the bar and play on the slot machines for a while and there's this older guy that is always there and talking to me. He's nice enough but every week he's getting more and more bold. So, of course this week he asks me if he can take me out and I'm like "um, maybe". And he's like "maybe?" That didn't sound too promising. And I was just like "well, I don't go out much, I don't really like to date". Which is a cop out. I have this major problem saying no. I just never say no. So, of course he gives me his number and tells me to call him and I say that I will - knowing damn well that I'm not going to call him and of course it's going to be weird next week when I see him because he's going to wanna know why I didn't call him. Ugh. I do this shit all the time.
There's a guy on my team that I went out with and now I bowl with him every week. He finally stopped asking me out because I kept blowing him off and hs'e still really cool about it and we have a good time bowling and it's not weird. I'm actually starting to like him a lot more now that I'm getting to know him and I might even go out with him again. It just takes me a while to warm up to guys. I'm much better dating someone after I'm friends with them first.
So, this is just me rambling at this point. Happy Hump Day!
