Day Three in Cali

Day Three is upon us and I think it's the day I was looking the most forward to. We were heading to Universal Studios and although I know it's a movie themed park, I was secretly hoping that there would be a few thrill rides. I'm a roller coaster junky and I love scary rides.

So, we headed over to the park. It was pretty close to our hotel. Up to this point we hadn't taken many pictures so I got that bad boy camera out and started snapping away.

Universal was fun. I was maybe a little disappointed. I am used to parks like Kings Dominion and Six Flags that are so big you can't get through the whole thing in one day. In most cases, you have to pull out the map and look at all of the rides and decide which ones are most important to you and then you navigate a course that will get you to all of the rides you NEED to get on.

Somehow, we managed to get on all of the rides and we saw almost every single show and we were done by 6 p.m. We also sat down and had lunch. And by lunch I mean we each had a soft pretzel and a coke. But still, we sat down for a bit.

The mummy was the only ride that I would consider a "thrill ride". It wasn't scary enough, but it was fun nevertheless. My mom hates roller coasters, but she still got on the mummy with me so that was cool.

The Jurassic Park flume ride was SO FUN. I don't know why, but I laughed my ass off. I wasn't expecting all of the WATER that came shooting out of that ride. Luckily we bought ponchos because we saw how many people were coming off the ride soaking wet. It was the smartest thing I've ever done. hehe

My future husband is an actor in the Waterworld Show. Holy crap. I was in love. I took about ten pictures of this guy. Maybe a little stalkerish but that's okay. I wanted to go up and introduce myself to him after the show, but he was nowhere to be found.

The tram tour was really neat. The showed you how they make it rain in a movie and then the rain turned into a storm and then a dam broke and there was a flood around our little tram - too fun! We got to see the Jaws set and of course the shark was swimming around our tram. Now he's eating my mom...

The guy from the Psycho movie was on set carrying a dead body out to his car and the Fast and the Furious cars put on a little show for us. Good little tour.

Dead body...

Mom and I posing with a doggy actor...

After Universal was over we got in the car and drove 20 miles to Redondo Beach because there was a Chick Fil A there! You guys know how much I love and miss my chick fil a. So, my mom and I hopped in the SUV, punched in the address and followed the directions on the GPS. Yay!

I was so happy! Best dinner ever. It's been so long since I ate there, I didn't even know they had milkshakes there now. I got a cookies and creme shake. So good. It was worth the 40 mile roundtrip journey.

You know you have to submit that pic of your mom and Jaws to Photo Cliches, right?
