Need Advice
So, I woke up yesterday with a fever. I knew immediately that I had a fever because my whole body was achy and I was freezing. I had chills like crazy and I just wanted to sleep. I just so happened to be at my parent's house and my mom took my temperature and sure enough, I had a 101 fever. I was on call at work and thank god they didn't need me. There was no way I could go in and work with a fever. I would have been miserable and I wouldn't have wanted to call out. So, it worked out fine because I feel okay today and I'm working tonight.
Here's a dilemma I have.
Need some advice...
As you know, my company is a performance based company and our schedules are created due to how high we are on the sales performance chart. What I've noticed is that people lower than me on the chart are getting more days on the schedule and I really don't think that's fair. I'm not understanding how this is happening and I don't know what to do about it.
Should I say something to management? But, we all know, management doesn't like complainers. They like people that "go with the flow". I'm trying really hard not to ever bad mouth anyone at work and to just take things as they come. But, they are so adamant about this sales chart and I've worked so hard to get up higher on that thing and I'm still getting the short end of the stick.
What do you guys think I should do??

Why dont you approach it from a positive proactive mode like "is there anything I can do to get more hours?" tell them you really enjoy your job and would appreciate any feedback so you can improve your performance. That way they see you are serious about your job and want more hours...with no complaining!
Good Luck!!!

I like LB's suggestion. I think that's a great way to go about it, and you look like a serious employee who is motivated and ambitious!

Put yourself in your boss's place. What pro does he/she have that you can solve? How can you make things run smoother? If you make things better for them without seeming to be 'up to something' then they will want you around more.
Also, don't ever get caught not being busy or complaining, even to other employees far from customers. Be professional at all times.
Read Dale Carnegie's 'How to win friends and influence people.' Using it will make your life great.
Good luck.

I also like LB's suggestion. But maybe you could also give it time. See if the same thing happens for several weeks.

I also like LB's suggestion. As someone who managed if an employee comes to me and says they enjoy their job and want to improve so they can get more hours that shows to me that they are a reliable employee. Where if you come complaining about the lack of hours somehow that just doesn't work the same

I'm with LB. Let them kow you're happy with your job and want any selling tips they can offer. You're doing good. They know it and you know it. Looking to the "uppers" for hints always pays off.
Glad you're happy Doll.
