I got nothing
So, I went to get my haircut the other day and well, lets just say that I'm not very pleased. I almost started crying in the chair. I just put way too much trust in this woman. My mom goes to her and i figured that was good enough. I don't have the money right now to go to my very expensive and awesome chic, so, instead, I just went with the economical lady. I told her that I wanted a trim, I wanted my hair to have more body and that basically she should just do whatever it takes to make it healthy looking and fuller. I also made sure that she didn't get crazy with the scissors and make it really short.
So, she puts tons and tons of layers in it which is fine, but when she styled it, that's when the problems began. I honestly looked like a product of the 80's, I was Tawny Kitaen sitting up in the joint. Honestly, she was trying to feather the sides and my bangs are short as hell. Ouch!!!!!
I immediately started fucking with it. I was shaking it upside down and trying to straighten it out. I told her it looked way too 80's ish. Well, what did I expect from a freaking 13 dollar haircut???? When it comes to hair, you get what you pay for I guess. Now that I'm home and it's been washed a few times, I guess it's not that bad. But in the future, I'm saving some money and going back to my girl. Plus, I want some more red and blonde highlights. It's been a while.
I got up earlyish today and headed out to meet a friend for breakfast. I was traveling north on the 95 when I came to a curve and traffic screeched to a DEAD halt. Um, hello - it's Saturday people - what the eff is going on??????
After 25 minutes of inching along this mile or two stretch, I finally got to see the accident. IT was pretty major. There were 2 motorcyles and a car - they were all three demolished! It was pretty brutal. I wouldn't have wanted to see the poor saps that were riding those bikes.
Anyway, we missed breakfast because of the traffic, so we hit a meeting and I saved my money so that I could spend it at the Cannery tonight instead. I actually won which is amazing. Now I have even more dough to play with (lose) tomorrow.
I have some money saved up in comps over at Stations Casino, so I'm taking the parental units out for a nice dinner tomorrow night. Should be fun. Initially I wanted to eat at Hachi at the Red Rock. It's a japanese place and I thought it was the kind of place where they cook at your table. After looking at the website, I'm thinking I was wrong. They got great reviews, but they don't cook at your table and that's what I was hoping for.
So, I'm thining we are going to The Charcoal Room at Santa Fe. Since Stations declared bankruptcy, I wanna go ahead and use these comps before I lose them!! I suggest you guys do the SAME!
I know that I started my Insanity Tales and I never finished them. I just haven't been feeling it. At first I found it therapeutic, but now I'm just embarassed that I even put myself in the situations I was in and with the people I was with. At any rate, I think I'll finish it, but I'm just needing another week or two to decide for sure.
Well, it's midnight and I'm about to turn into a pumpkin - goodnight!

I totally have had the bad hair cuts. I left a salon in tears once. People laugh that I spend so much on my hair, but my color and cut are so important.
Good news is that it always grows. :-)

I have to do the same these days. Long gone are the $110 haircuts and colors. Now its L'Oreal Pairs and the $4 hair dye along with my friends 14 year old daughter triming my hair or the value centers. Some are good others are worse. I think you always look great, the bright side hair grows back! :)

I've been there with the bad haircut - it can be devastating. Especially when you're expecting an improvement not a slash job. 80's do - that's a riot!

You could do a lot worse than Tawny Kitaen from back in the Whitesnake video days....

Carm - had a similar hair experience. The last time I was at the blogger thingy is evidence! I was so frustrated with what my hair was doing that I gave the lady free reign of my tresses (and did not want to spend the usual $160 for cut and color). BIG mistake! She cut it shorter than I have ever had it - and added a ton of layers! It's growing out now, but my hair grows really slow, so it's taking a while and requires a ton of patience. And, if you are like me, if you don't feel good about your hair, it can make a bad day even worse! Lesson learned!
