Shattered

Well, my parents have two friends in town visiting from maryland. The main goal of the trip is basically to play poker. Since they are a little older in age, they of course want to play seven card stud. When my parents first moved here they also wanted to play seven card stud, but the only game they found was at the Mirage. After a few losing sessions at the Mirage and worse, having to wait an hour just to get a seat, they learned to love Texas Holdem instead. Do they really like Holdem better than stud? Who knows. The convenience factor makes it all the more enjoyable.

So, the friends booked a room over at Treasure Island and arrived today. T.I. is connected to the Mirage, so, that's why they stayed there. Convenience factor! Until they went over to the poker room at the Mirage and tried to play. OOps! No more Seven Card Stud at the Mirage. SHIT!! Now what??

I am in the process of masking calls. I am trying to find those guys a game of seven card stud and basically, distance is no object. I found out that Boulder Station spreads a $1 - $6 game on Thursdays at 4 p.m. That's what it comes down to. Sad. Just one day a week. I'm wondering if it's all the same players every single week. Are they going to attack the poor out of town fishies when they sit down?? Oh well. Le'ts hope not.

My mom also found out that Sams Town (I think) has a stud tourney on Friday nights. I could be wrong about the casino, but I think she said it was Sam's and I am not sure what the buyin is.

So, my dear dear readers my question to you is...

Does anyone know of anywhere else in Vegas/Primm/Laughlin/Mesquite where we can find a Seven Card Stud game??

Thanks guys!!

Other than that, I had a series of interviews this week with a doctor's office. Fingers crossed about that one.

And, hit 8 out of 10 tonight on multicard keno at the Cannery. It's pretty rare that you do that. I've only done it one other time, so I was pretty stoked. And, last night at the Cannery, this idiot guy I know banged on the machine out of frustration and the glass shattered!! How funny!! How many times have I seen people banging on the glass? Too many to count. So, they are billing him $200 to fix the machine. Somehow I don't think they'll be seeing that money anytime soon.

I've always wondered if they can adjust the machine to pay off more or less depending on the card that's in the machine. For instance, if I won a thousand bucks last week, I wonder if the Cannery could do a little spy work and make it that I lose for the next few weeks so they can recoup some of their money. I've probably just been watchign too many spy movies or something but I have to wonder. It's an interesting concept don't ya think??

Going to bed... Goodnight!!

congrats on that 8 out of 10 at cannery.
I wish you were doing those 15 video poker machines I told you about downtown: One guy hit at 7,000. A girl invested 43.00 and almost an hour and hit a 6,000.00 win. Its now at 5,000 ... which is still pretty good since 1,000 is what it would be normally on those machines.

NO. The card reader is not in any way connected to the machine's RNG. The slot machines can not favor or disfavor particular cards.

I am sure they "could" do that but it would be cheating and they do not cheat.

Ask HurricaneMikey...he's a dealer and he's an avid poker fan. He'll know.

I've played Seven Card Stud at the El Cortez downtown, but the last time was a couple years back. Not sure if it's still offered.

Gee, think of the poor casino owner lying there at night trying to sleep but worrying about whether the dealers and programmers have sent all their friends in and are playing the slots that have been rigged in their favor.

So you suspect that the casinos might be fixed? Awesome. Most subtle bit of irony I've read in quite a while.
