A whole week?

Geez, I suck. I haven't written in a whole week. Well, let's see. We took my car in to get an oil change today and $380.00 and 5 hours later I have my car back. Isn't that always the way?? The funny thing is that I actually thought I might need a new battery because I've had it die on me three times in the past month. Once I was listening to the radio with the engine off and it died. Another time I had the hazards on with the engine off and it died and then yesterday it just wouldn't start. They told my dad that the battery is fine, but that it needs to be charged. Doesn't it charge when it's being driven?? Anyway, so the one thing I thought I'd have to replace didn't even need to be replaced. Good lord. I'm looking at the bill. I had to get a new belt and it cost 60 bucks. The labor for the installation of the belt was 60 bucks too. How crazy! The labor is the exact same price as the part. Ugh.

One of the things I had to replace was an fuel filter. Hopefully it'll help with my gas mileage. I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I've run out of gas in my new car twice already. My whole life, I've owned many cars and I've never ever run out of gas and now I've had this new car for like half a year and I've run out twice?! Ridiculous! I don't know what my problem is. I'm used to driving the Honda and the Mitsubishi Eclipses. They got such great gas mileage. And then of course the gas prices today are like unbelievably high and they just keep climbing. It's killing me. There's no end in sight either. I think they are just supposed to keep rising. In fact, I'm watching a video right now about our economy, the crazy amount of debt we've accrued, and the falling value of the dollar. I don't want to turn this into a political blog, but what the hell is going on with this country? Why aren't we drilling for oil?? We should be giving businesses incentives to stay in America instead of taxing the hell out of them and making them leave. At this rate, we are never going to get out of this hole.

Anyway, I had a couple of interviews last week. Fingers crossed. It's taking forever to find a job. It's annoying. I haven't been gambling very much, but the couple of times I did, it sucked and I was still losing. So, it looks as if my losing streak is still on.

Oh yeah, once in a while I sub on my parent's bowling league. There's like five teams from the community on this league so I know most of the people. Anyway, this one girl hurt her back and she asked me to take over for the rest of the season. She's still going to pay for it though so I get to bowl for free. Fun! Last night was my first night on the team officially. I bowled crappy first game but I did okay 2nd and 3rd.

My mom did my taxes last night and I'm getting all of the money I paid out of my unemployment back. Cool. I'll probably give most of it to my parents since I'm forever in a hole to them. But, it'll be nice to keep a tiny bit for myself.
