So, I was really getting sick of my mom complaining about me and my job situation or should I say my lack of job situation. So, I just went to this place where I know they are doing tons of hiring and you take a reading and spelling test and they hire you on the spot if you pass and it's a call center job and you only make $9 an hour and I'm way over qualified for it. But, whatever. Its a job. I need one. I need one with flexible hours since I'm very busy with court and stuff and most importantly, I didn't have to lie on the application about anything. They don't care if you have a record. They don't care if you used to do drugs and now you are trying to fix your life. And, you don't have to sell anything. Good enough for me for now until I realize how much I hate it and then I get off my ass and find something else. I had the orientation yesterday. There was 19 people in my class. We got about an hour of training and then they actually put us on the phones live with real people. Oh lord. Weird. ha ha. Anyway, we were in a training room, but we walked through the big room where all the employees were working and HOLY SHIT!!!!!!! There was like 300 people in there at one time on the phone. Remember the room the Boiler Room? It's like that but about ten times larger. I heard them telling people that they were short on headsets and if they wanted to work they had to bring in their own headsets. The way it works is you don't get a regular schedule. You call every morning at like 9:30 a.m. to find out what is available and you tell them if you want to work and they put on you the schedule for that day and tell you when to be there. It's so weird. Anyway, it's Friday the 13th. Watch out for Jason and maybe stay away from Crystal Lake this weekend.

Congratulations on getting the job so promptly and without much prodding from Mom or from "us".

You can use it as "breathing space" for looking for a "real" job.

Are you increasing your poker skills?
Do you still have to clock into some sort of sober living facility by 8pm or can you enter poker tournaments?

Getting a job, even if it is one you aren't crazy about is a great start.

Keep grindin'.

Good luck,
