So, it's Sunday and I got this morning, talked to my sponsor at 8 a.m. (like every morning), and then picked up my friend, Veronica and went to church. It was cool. We got to see all of the in-patient girls and boys that we went through the program with and best of all, we got to leave in our own car and come home. ha ha Picture of Veronica...
Anyway, I've just been applying for a bunch of jobs and going to a lot of meetings and of course going to court every week for status checks etc. Yesterday I think I went to three meetings in one day. Nice. I'm watching the funniest show online called "Don't Trust the Bitch in Apartment 23" and I really like it. I guess it's on ABC normally but I haven't been DVR'ing so i'm watching it on the computer and it's simply amazing. Has anyone else seen it? O.K. so I got this e-mail from a job prospect and it seemed perfect until I went online to do the credit report and they wanted me to put in a credit card number for the "free trial". I didn't do it and I wrote back to this Ashley person to find out if this is a real company and so far I haven't heard anything. I mean WOW! Is this the lengths they are going to nowadays to make sales???? It's pathetic. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ashley Richard ashley.richard@foerbandit.com 9:31 AM (5 hours ago) to me Hi, Thank you for responding to our company's recent job posting on craigslist. That Veronica is "hot"... or maybe I'm just a pushover for girls who wear boots.

As to Ashley Richards nonsense most of those links are for IQ tests, Dating sites or credit sites that result in charges to your account. It is ofcourse a scam and there are no real jobs being offered through that Panama website.

Profinity from BBB

Our file contains a pattern of complaints from consumers who state they signed on this company's website to receive a free credit report. The offer includes a free trial membership which requires the consumer to submit their credit card information as a part of the free trial offer. The website informs the consumer there will be no charges if the membership is cancelled within 7 days. Some consumers state their card is charged before the 7 day free trial and in some cases they are unable to cancel their membership when attempting within the trial period. The charges in dispute range from $3.98 to $89.00.

The company responds to these complaints with an explanation of their terms and conditions and by issuing a refund.

Other complaints have been received from consumers who state their credit card has received monthly charges from this company that they did not authorize ranging from $3.98 to $29.95.

The company responds by stating the consumer agreed to the monthly membership charges and their credit card information was provided in a membership offer when the consumer was making an online purchase. In most cases the company has issued a refund to consumers for the amount disputed.

BBB encourages consumers to read and understand the terms and conditions of the company's agreement before accepting the offer.

Honey,

Please be careful. The job concerning Ashley Richard is a complete SCAM 100%. These people pray on those in tough situations. They hope desperate people will fall victim to their scam.

They are sending the same form letter to many people they want to scam. I have found it on scamwarners.com (http://www.scamwarners.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=34&p=68076) The name Ashley Richard is even included in several examples of the scam emails.

Note the incorrect english used in the email. Proper business people do not make mistakes like this "We have reviewed over 15 applications and we have narrowed our selection down six."

They change up what they ask people to do. In some cases you have to take an IQ test you pay for. In your case, the link is a "redirect" to a company called 'Profinity LLC'. They likely get money for referring people, or are part of the company itself. Profinity is also listed on many scam sites and has a Better Business Bureau Warning. They offer your Free credit score with an enrollment in a credit trial that you can cancel in 7 days. BUT, they charge you and tons of people try to cancel and can't. Some people are told they will not be charged for 7 days, and they charge right away.

It is likely if you checked the IP of the email it is from outside of the United States.

Please report these people as serial scammers to Craigslist if possible.

Best of Luck to You

Eek, not sure if my previous comment went thru or I misclicked something and erased my long post on your job email you posted.

If it did not go thru, basically it said, this job is a scam 1000%. They want you to sign up thru this scam credit site to get your credit card number.

Don't contact them anymore. Report them to Craigslist. They have many examples of victimizing many people.
