Christmas Eve

Well, I've been off work for 4 days so far. We head back into work hopefully on December 26th so that's cool. I'm starting to get a little bored. I played poker Friday night with the old folks in the neighborhood at the clubhouse and I played Sunday night too. I made it to the final table both nights and went out on the bubble both nights without cashing. Ugh. Hate that.

Tonight I am going to play in a tournament at the Eastside Cannery with  my parents and another couple from the neighborhood.  Hopefully I'll do better tonight.

I'm ready for tomorrow.  Christmas presents are wrapped and under the tree and I'm looking forward to a nice day.  Last year I was all fucked up and my parents only let me come over for dinner and then I had to leave and the next day I turned myself into drug court.  That's why my clean date is December 27th.  I spent six weeks in jail waiting for an in-patient bed at Salvation Army.  This year is much different and I feel a lot better about myself.  My parents are a lot happier with me too of course.
