The Gorge

So, last night I got off work and RUSHED over the Rio so that I could catch a glimpse of the 50K HORSE Final Table! Last year I had a day off from the MGM and I remember that MiamiDon and I went over to the Rio to meet up with Pauly, had some drinks at the hooker bar, and managed to score a seat in the bleachers of the final table. FUN! What a great day. I remember that I was double fisting the whole time and almost had to be carried out to the car when we finally left.

So, I did a little article on this year's final table - quite a lot of differences, but, still fun. Check it out if you have a couple of minutes.


Congratulations to Freddy Deeb for taking down the most prestigious event in poker! What a HUGE accomplishment. I can only imagine that the stands were going NUTS because he had the loudest cheering section as it was. I wish I could have been there to see that! Unfortunately they usually play these final tables late into the night/early morning until a new winner is crowned.





Just on a side note, this guy Amnon Filippi was the chip leader for a good portion of the event and he definitely isn't an eye sore. His attitude kinda sucked though! Once he got cocky and started bleeding chips and the stack started diminishing, his attitude went DOWNHILL! At one point he threw the cards across the table and I heard him out in the hallway whining to one of his groupies.



The thing about Freddy is that he has some class. He was by far the short stack. I watched him triple up three times, but even when he was down to his last few chips, he was joking with the audience and had a smile on his face - did I mention he's like 5 foot 4 or something? So tiny - so adorable!!





How happy I am that it's friday!? Love Love Love Fridays as I'm sure most of us do. But, today is extra special because my parents are coming into town tomorrow! They are staying at the cool ass Golden Nugget, so expect a pool review! I cannot wait to lay out with the sharks.

Anyway, the temperature is supposed to get up to like 112 this week. UM YUCK! I love that there is no humidity here, but I think 112 is a little over the top, we'll see.

Sunday I'm taking my parents on a little drive down 15 to Utah. They've never been through the gorge which is such a cool sight. I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures to post.

Okay, so obviously we all know that I'm spending a lot of time over at the Rio and I'm doing a lot of writing for the World Series of Poker. So, when I'm doing research or trying to find the right way to spell someone's name or I'm looking up what's going on in each event, there are a few sources that I use.

One of the sites I check out quite often is Pokerlistings.com. They are doing some great coverage on the WSOP and they always seem to have pretty accurate information.

The site is easy to navigate, which is a huge plus! I hate it when I find a site with useful information, but the site is slow or it's a pain in the ass to find the links I'm looking for. This is not the case with Pokerlistings. You can easily find the Schedule and Results for the 2007 WSOP here as well.





In addition, they have some great photos. I think we all know I'm a huge fan of photos.

Yesterday was CRAZY! at the Rio. The 50K HORSE Event is getting down to the nitty gritty and there are still a lot of superstars. Lord help us all if Mike Matusow wins - we'll never hear the end of how wonderful and great he is.





Other big names still standing are Greg Raymer, Dewey Tomko, Gabe Kaplan (Mr. Cotter), Freddy Deeb, Barry Greenstein, Tim Phan and Daniel Negreaunu,

So, I'm missing out on all the Maryland crabs, trips out on my parents boat and hanging out in Ocean City, Maryland this summer - I'm stuck out here in the desert working two jobs - poor me.

My Special Day

I took the day off from both jobs in honor of my birthday. Yes, I turned 29 once again and what a great day I had!!

I woke up nice and early and opened the presents that my parents sent. The box was sitting in my living room for a whole week and I didn't open it! Amzing huh???? I just felt like it would be special to open my gifts on my actual birthday. I wanted my day to be special and it was. I got some great gifts, one of them was an adorable coach purse, matching wallet and matching watch. SWEET!! I got a few other gifts and that was a great way to start of my day.

After I opened the gifts and cleaned up, I headed over to my friend Doug's house where he had breakfast waiting for me. How sweet is that?? I bet it doesn't mean a lot to most people, but when someone cooks for me, even if they were already cooking and they simply made me an extra plate, it means a lot. It was especially meaningful to me because I shared with Doug my issues of late with eating and how much weight I've lost and why it's been such a stressful time. So, we ate breakfast and headed to the pool.



This week I decided to check out the Rio since I was given a key during the WPBT! I love bloggers!!! Love Love Love you guys!

Anyway, so I went to the Rio with my friend and it was so cool to actually hang out with someone by the pool instead of going alone. I usually always go by myself and that's cool, it's relaxing and it's a nice break from reality, but sometimes it's nice to have a someone to chat with and it makes the time go by really fast. We had great conversation, it was hot as hell - I think it peaked at 108 and I was in the pool about every 10 minutes. There will be a pool review up sometime in the next day or two! Anyway, after we left the Rio, I headed home and showered and changed and went back over to Doug's house. We hopped on his sport bike and rode up to Red Rock Canyon - SO COOL!!!! I had a blast. I totally have a need for speed and it's a beautiful drive. Once we arrived, we parked the bike and started hiking. Yes - I said hiking. I've never hiked in my life. I never even knew what hiking was. I mean, I thought it was walking through the woods or something. Oh my god did that trip take zap the energy out of me. I was tired as hell. I only made it about half way up the mountain before I was practically hyperventilating and had to stop for about 20 minutes. We sat down on a fairly high cliff and took in the scenery. Gorgeous. I can't wait to do it again. Next time I'm blocking out the whole day and I'm going to make it to the top! That's my new goal.





The rest of the night was perfect too. I can't say enough about how great my birthday was.

So, as you might have guessed, I was tired as hell on Sunday. Oh my god - I had such a hard time getting motivated to go to the Rio. I mean, usually I look so forward to Sundays in the Amazon Room and this sunday was special because the 50k HORSE Event was in full swing and I sat in the bleachers of this event last year. I knew it was going to be totally chaotic and off the hook and totally full of celebrities, but I had a hard time getting my ass over there. Once I finally got there I was thrilled! It was so exciting. I really think the 50K HORSE Event should be the new main event. I mean, honestly, in my opinion, you won't see a one hit wonder win this game. There is WAY too much skill involved. Your average joe is not going to sit down and play in this event and if he does, he'll be annihilated!! So, check out my latest article from Day one of the Horse Event. I think it turned out pretty good. I had a great time and can't wait to see how it plays out. I'm rooting for Phil Ivey!!!!



As of 11 p.m. Monday night he's going STRONG!!!!

Saturday - my day off - my favorite day of the week - aaaaahhhhhhhh - I'm so so so happy that it's Friday night and I'm going to the pool tomorrow. For once I even have some company and that's really unusual. Most of the time I like to go alone. I thought I'd make an exception this one time.

Maybe I'll post some pictures if I don't look fat.

Vagabond dance

So, I had last night off from the Rio. It felt really good. Not that I mind going to the Rio, because believe me, I still love it and it's still fun for me. It's just that I'm a little tired. I will say, that before I used to scour the room for the pro's, and now I barely blink an eye now when I see Doyle, Ivy, Helmuth, Matusow, Negreanu etc. I smile, and sometimes I turn my head to see how they are doing in chips and what they are wearing, but other than that, it's all pretty routine. You know who I still haven't seen although I know he's been there, Joe Hachem. Maybe I just keep missing him or something.

The only gripe I have is that it's REALLY hot carrying all the shit I have from the car to the Media Room. I have a laptop, camera, extra cords, pads, pens, ipod, magazine (you never know), a couple cans of Monster energy drink, a bag or two of candy, my purse, an extra sweatshirt because it's FREEZING, sometimes extra socks, and whatever else I can throw into the two large bags I'm carrying. Without fail I'm HOT as balls when I get inside and set up, but within about 15 minutes I'm searching for that damn sweatshirt. Oh well - that's just how it is. I look for any excuse I can find to go outside and walk around the tent since it's warm out there. I'm always hoping for a fashion do, don't or whatever else I can get my hands on in the tent.

Anyway, one of the bright spots of my night is seeing Karen Carli wandering the halls and watching her husband play. She NEVER complains and she spends WAY more time at the Rio than I do. Check out my latest article for more about her and her husband. They are quite an inspiration. I can only aspire to be as supportive, good natured and kind as her.

Well, this weekend is coming up fast!!!!!! I'll be reviewing another pool on Saturday, although I haven't decided which one yet. I'm leaning towards Caesar's Palace depending on if my boss is going to get me in or not. His brother is the head of marketing at Pure, so it shouldn't be a problem.






Craig did a GREAT STORY on Liz Lieu. If you haven't had a chance to read it, you should. I knew she was an awesome dresser, looks great in a bikini and knows how to work a room, but I had NO idea how giving she is. She is really amazing. Just another example of someone who can kill the poker tables, looks great in Lucky jeans and carries herself with grace.

And how about Hoyt Corkins????? He won his 2nd bracelet yesterday!!!! He had to wait 15 years in between his first and second bracelet. WOW! Good for him. I saw him right after he won and he was taking time out to sign autographs and take pictures with fans. I love that.








One more week til mom and dad hit Las Vegas!!! I'm psyched. They are staying at the Golden Nugget, so I'm really pumped to finally swim in the pool with the awesome shark tank.




Okay, more to come on this. A while back, I'm pretty sure it was Jay (sorry if I'm wrong) that suggested I start watching "So you think you can Dance" when Dancing with the Stars was over. Well, I've been Tivo'ing them and I started watching like the first few episodes and they were all the tryouts, so they weren't that great.

WELL, I've finally gotten to the good part where they actually practice and have choreographed routines and partners - WOW!!!!!!!! Holy shit! I was shocked and amazed when I saw this vagabond dance...






This show surpasses dancing with the stars BY FAR because it's real, hard core, creative dancing. I am now hooked! Stay tuned for my updates!!!!

Just another day

So, yesterday was a very trying day. It started off okay, I got ready for work, came in on time, worked all day, and then I decided that I could really use a meeting. I realize that in order for me to keep these jobs and these great opportunities, I can't drink. Once I have a drink, it's all over as my past has proven time and time again.

So, I went to the Rio for like an hour or two to finish an article, but I didn't quite finish. So, I left my laptop and my camera and all that good stuff over there next to CC. So, I trek on out to the Rio parking lot and get in my car and it doesn't start. I figured it was the battery because it was doing that "click click" sound. Security came over rather quickly and got my car started and off I went.

I head to the meeting, which is in a questionable neighborhood, it's on Washington and Decatur. Not the best place in Vegas to hangout, but I needed a meeting and I knew my girls would be there. And, of course after the meeting, the car doesn't start. I was afraid of this. I had one of the guys pull out jumper cables and the plan was that I was going over to the Rio to get my laptop etc., I was going to leave my car running with the valet guys, run in and get my stuff, and then get my butt home ASAP. It was too late to stop anywhere and get a new battery anyway. Well, I drive for about 2 minutes and I'm at a stop light when the car completely dies. SHIT! I'm in the middle of an intersection in heels, and my work clothes and I'm on the phone with my dad who is Maryland, trying to figure out what to do. I start calling people from the meeting, nobody answers! I called like 5 people and noticed my phone was REAL close to dying. That's what I get for playing tetris during the day. That shit totally runs down the battery in my phone.

So, a random guy pulls over to help me, he has a wife and 3 kids with him, so I'm feeling pretty okay about this. He pushes me off the road into the mall parking lot - I didn't even realize I was in front of Meadows (Ghetto) Mall. He had jumper cables, but the battery was SO dead that it wouldn't even start anymore. I had to find a ride home and leave it there over night. I flagged down mall security and they were nice enough to push my car into a parking spot so that it wouldn't get towed. I called CC and him take my laptop home with him so that it wasn't in the media room all night and then I called my boss and told him I'd be late today.

I guess it's not the end of the world and I totally got through it alive, but in the past, this would have been the kind of thing that would have drove me to drink, or flip out or cry uncontrollably, or who knows.

In the end, I got a new batter today, it cost less than $100 and I wasn't even that late for work this morning.

And, about the DUI stuff - I just want to thank all of you guys for being so supportive and for all the well wishes. It means so much!!!!!

It kind of hurts my feelings when I receive comments like this from people who don't know me at all and they don't care to understand the struggles that I've been through or the ways in which I'm trying to improve my life. I made a huge mistake and I'm taking actions to correct it.

My day in court

Well, I took a chance playing in the limit donkfest over at the Rio yesterday. Check out my experiences over at pokerworks.com.


My official writeup for Tao Beach has been published over at LasVegasVegas.com. They always do a nice job of cleaning up my pictures. I was lucky to get pictures at all because cameras are not permitted, obviously because of the nudity issue. I had to sneak the camera in and snap a couple of pictures quickly when nobody was looking.

So, the moment you were all waiting for - my day at court. Finally I have some resolution.

This is what happened. I got there early, so I headed upstairs to my attorney's office and we discussed a few things. He was concerned because supposedly all of the witness were ready and waiting. My chances of having the case dismissed were pretty non existent and he wasn't even hopeful that I'd have it knocked down to a reckless driving. My stomach got tied in more knots when I heard this.

So, we headed over to the courthouse and I got comfortale on the wooden bench in courtroom 8D. I placed the sunglasses I was wearing on top of my head. Not two minutes later the bailiff came over to me and told me I had to put the sunglasses away. UM - WHY?? Why the hell can't I wear sunglasses on my head in a court room? The lady next to me was a landlord there for eviction proceedings, so she spends a lot of time at the court house. She told me that some sunglasses are actually cameras, so that's why they wanted me to put them away. Heaven forbid I take a picture of the cranky nasty bailiff. I'm sure the paparazzi would pay me loads of money for that!

Anyway, they way they handle the DUI proceedings is similar to a cattle call. They call us up one by one and if you made a deal before hand, the judge reads out the terms of your deal. She reads over a bunch of stuff about 1st, 2nd, and 3rd offense penalties, and then she asks you if you understand. Everyone goes around the room and says "yes" and they they say if they are pleading "guilty" to these charges and then they agree to do whatever was agreed upon. Pretty boring stuff.

Everyone in the court room got the DUI conviction and whatever other charges on the sheet were dismissed. In my case, I didn't show proof of insurance when I was pulled over because I was too fucked up to find it. So, that charge was dropped because I had proof. In addition, because there was an issued with one of the witnesses, I think it was the chemist that couldn't be there, I was given a reckless instead of the DUI. I'm the only one that was given the reckless. Everyone else got the full DUI.

All of this is dependent on a few things...

1. I have to pay a $580 fine
2. I have to pay $200 to take alcohol classes, luckily you can do them online
3. I have to go to a victim impact panel at a library for an hour and a half and pay $50 for that. I think it's basically like a group of people who have lost loved ones due to drinking and driving, so it'll be a very uncomfortable and eye opening experiencs. I'm sure I'll leave the place guilt ridden.
4. AND - since I was WAY over the legal limit, my BAC was .20, I have to have a mandatory evaluation by the state to determine if I need further counseling, rehab or need to have a device on my steering wheel (at my own cost) that I have to blow into to start the car.

So, all in all, if I accomplish all of these things in the next 3 months, I go back to court in September and the DUI is dropped down to a reckless. I'm happy with that.

I have spent so much money and time on this thing, and this was my first offense. I can't imagine having to go through this again. The fines and penalties just get higher and higher. I for one have definitely learned a hard lesson.

So, that was my day in court.

Hedonistic Adventure

I spent the entire day (10 hours) at the Rio today. I knocked out two articles though, so it was worth it. Click Here for my 7th article.

Saturday, my day at the pool (Tao Beach) at the Venetian was fun, adventurous and exciting. It wasn't relaxing. I kind of wanted to relax, but instead I was in the middle of a hedonistic, off the wall, VIP party pool.


So, I did a writeup and soon you'll be able to find it at Lasvegasvegas.com with pictures. But, since this is my own blog, I can be a bit more frank about my experience.





There were about 10 girls for every 1 guy. It was a topless pool. They took my towels and bottle of water at the door. I had to pay $20 to get a chair and then they kept my credit card until I left. The cocktail servers were some of the hottest girls I've ever seen in my life and besides me, they were the only ones wearing bikini tops. I've never seen so many drunk, horny chicks walking around without clothes on. It wasn't really my scene - especially since I was completely sober. I did take a peek at the drink menu since I was writing an article and it was like $18 for a drink and $8 for a bottle of water. Highway robbery!!!!! I guess that's the price you pay if you want to hang out with the "in crowd".





I never had so many people come over and bug me when I was trying to get a tan. I had people offereing me freezie pops, wet cold towels for my body, guys trying to rub lotion on me, cock tail servers trying to get me drunk and managers giving me stickers to put on "the girls" so that i'd take off my top. Sorry - not happening.
I think I'll stick to the regular pools from now on because Girls Gone Wild ain't really my thing. I knew it was time to leave when I saw this plastic barbie doll looking girl rubbing her crotch on the back of some guys head when he was sitting down. Check please! I'm outta here.

And then you should have seen the crowd of guys trying to beg their way in so that they could get a view of the girls, so pathetic. Go to a strip club if your that desperate. I even had a guy offer to buy the bracelet on my wrist when I was leaving. NOT!

So, on my way out I decided to stop in the casino and use these free slot credits that the Venetian sends me every month. First thing I hit is 4 deuces. After that I hit quad 9's. Shortly after that I'm dealt this beauty...




I got this on the deal!!!! Can you believe that you only win 250 quarters for a straight flush?? Next to a royal, the highest hand you can get is 4 aces. As I was pondering this craziness, I hit this...




So, I actually cashed out and called it a day!!!!

Hopefully court will be as good tomorrow as my weekend was. I'm starting to get a little nervous, but I'm sure it'll workout.

It's Friday here in hot ass Vegas. I think the temperature is 106 degrees today - but I love it! Doesn't bother me a bit now that the air conditioning is working in my car.

Talked to the lawyer today - twice in one week! THAT is huge. I'm definitely going to trial on Monday. Wish me luck guys!!!! I wonder if you can blog from jail? I guess I'm about to find out. Anyone up for a congegal visit? I hope all the hotties are out at the Rio tonight. I'm gonna need something to entertain my thoughts for a while.

I can't tell you how much more often I get hit on when I'm alone. Kinda crazy huh???

So, about 6 months ago in December, we had a WPBT winter blogger event. The festivities always start out on a Friday night at the MGM for mixed games, drunken debauchery over at the sports book bar, usually a late night of partying, and for me little to no memory.

I was doing a bit of reflecting about where I was 6 months ago and where I am today. A lot has changed. Hell, I made it though a whole blogger weekend this time around and I remember everything. I slept, ate, worked, played, took pictures, and had a great time. I can't really say those things about the last blogger event.

I think you can see a huge difference just by comparing the pictures.

I think you see where I'm going with this. Alcohol and I are not friends, and never again will I make the mistake of thinking that I'm missing out, because I had a great time this year and I stayed completely sober. Amazing concept for me.


I'm sure you guys were all dying to know how my review went today. Well, in his typical fashion, my boss was "too busy to meet with me" and put it off until tomorrow. Not a big surprise there. Now I have to deal with another morning of anticipation and dread waiting for this moron to get my review over with.

Hey - onto more exciting news - I called my lawyer yesterday and you are never going to believe what happened. I got through to him on the first call! Shocking I know!! He says "has it been a month already"? I'm like "it sure has" and he says "okay, get ready for court on Monday - we are going to trial". I'm like "really, are you sure?" and he's like "oh, wait, I think I'm picking a jury on Thursday and I might be starting a new different trial on Monday". Ahhhhhh - there's the lawyer that we all know and love so well. I guess I'll know on Friday if I'm getting another postponement. Good times.

Can't wait til this weekend. I have a lot planned. I'm not going to disclose too much, but CC and I are working on a new story that is going to combine my love of playing poker with my love of writing about poker.

I'll be doing another pool review this weekend too and that's always a good time.

So, I went to the doctor today and my guestimate was pretty close. I've actually lost 7 pounds in the past week and a half. Do I know my body or what? I don't need a scale. I just need to wear clothes on a daily basis and most of the time I do, and that's enough to tell me if I've gained or lost weight.

Speaking of the doctor, I made an appointment about a month ago - maybe more. Found one right across the street from my house, waited in the first waiting room forever, went through my whole US Weekly magazine during that sitting. Then, they usher me back to that "other" room. You know the one I'm talking about. It's colder, a little creepy, there's nobody in the room to watch, most of the time they make you disrobe so you are sitting there naked and bored, waiting once again. I hate that. Anyway, the magazine selection is always pretty limited in this room and sometimes you are desperate enough to read the charts on the while. Sometimes I go through the drawers and see if there's anything interesting, but they frown upon that.

Anyway, so I'm sitting in this room and I see a women's magazine and a men's magazine. Naturally, I pick up the chic mag and start thumbing through it. This particular magazine is called "Plum". Anyone ever heard of it? I certainly haven't. The first article I turn to is about how drastically a woman's chances of conceiving decline at age 35. I'm sure I've seen this statistic before, but it never bothered me in the least. Surely I would have a baby before the old age of 35, no worries. I mean, really, who wants a baby when your as young as me??? I wanna have fun dammit!! The time for babies will come way down the road. Suddenly, my heart dropped and reality sunk in. I'm turning 34 this month and I don't even have a boyfriend. Oh my god. What if I decide to have a baby and it's too late??? I might have wasted all of my reproductive years partying. SHTI!! By the time the doctor came in I was almost in tears. I should have brought Cosmo with me instead. That's the last time I open a magazine with a pregnant chic on the front.

So, tomorrow I have my 90 day review at work. Nevermind that I've been working there for 6 months now. I'm so not looking forward to it. I hate reviews. My hopes for a raise are basically non-existent. I got hired at the highest rate of pay that was offered for this position and I just don't expect to get anything more. I guess there's always the chance that I'll be pleasantly surprised. We'll see.

It's a little diferent than the others. I actually interviewed two people and it was a little harder for me than the previous ones. I did another one today and it'll probably be up sometime tomorrow.



I finally have something really nice to say about harrah's! They hooked us up with a really nice meal tonight. I strolled into the media room and found a seat next to CC and as I was setting up I noticed that my "normal" spot was taken and there was a guy in a white lab coat walking around. He was the chef from an italian restaurant. They hooked it up! We had beef tenderloin, yummy broccoli, au gratin potatoes and chocolate mousse or butterscotch cheesecake for dessert. Can you imagine harrah's doing this for free for us? I was shocked. There couldn't have been a better time for this to happen since again I hadn't eaten all day.


I'm loving this job. It's so cool to go to a job and feel good about it when you leave. I never feel like I made a difference at my day job - this is so much more gratifying. And I'm not just saying that because I had a meal tonight!

I'm a winner dammit!

For once, I feel like a winner when I left the Rio tonight. I was heading home and I pulled up to the light that leads out to Flamingo Road when an older lady was trying to cut in front of me and turn into my lane. I stopped and let her go ahead of me, because I guess I was in a good mood or something and I decided to be nice for a change. She rolled down her window and let me know that there was a huge accident just over the bridge and the highway was VERY backed up. SCORE!!!!!!!!! I immediately moved over to the right lane and took the side roads home. DAMN I should be nice more often.

Why was I in a good mood when I left tonight? Well, maybe it was nice to see Phil Helmuth smiling as he made World Series of Poker history when he won his 11th bracelet tonight. Pretty amazing.

Or maybe it's because I got another article done in record time. I worked my ass off tonight, and that always feels good.

I saw Steve Danneman for the first time this year. He just flew in last night. I had a great ice breaker because he lives in Arnold, MD. which is about 5 minutes down the road from where I grew up. He was really sweet.

I finally feel like I'm over the nervous stage! I was a little overwelmed the first few days at the Rio and I was unsure as to how I should approach people - especially well-known people. Tonight was way different! I was going up to people left and right - every single one of them was cool as hell. Seems that just about everyone is happy to talk to a member of the media.

I will tell you this - I've lost about 5 pounds in the past week and although I love losing weight, I hate it when my boobs shrink and they are shrinking! You can't help it when you lose weight. Let's see, it's 11:32 p.m. and I had a little frozen weight watchers meal for lunch. That's it! I'm terrible. It's just that I know when I'm working 13 hour days, I can't eat big meals because I'll get tired and crash. So, instead of putting some thought and energy into finding a nice light balanced meal, I just don't eat. Not always a good thing. I feel fine right now, I'm kind of annoyed that all of my clothes are too big, but whatever. I think that I need to start eating better or else I won't make it to the main event.

Sunday highlights

I'm having way too much fun this weekend!!!! I can't believe it's Sunday already. It's like 8:45 in the morning and Don, Waffles and Weakplayer are all sleeeping. My ass came home and crashed last night at like 11 p.m. My body can only take so much fun and after staying up until 7:00 a.m. Friday night, there was no way I could that again Saturday night - especially since I'm going to the Rio all day to work today. Not to mention I still have to chair my women's meeting this morning at 10:00 a.m.


Today is MiamiDon's birthday, Day 1 of the Ladies Event at the WSOP and the last day we ever get to watch the Soprano's (unless we order all of the seasons from Netflix). I'm so excited to get my butt over to the Rio today and watch Lori (Irongirl), Change 100 and Kelley (girl I met at the MGM the other night) play in the event. I'm sad that I'm not playing, but I'm also realistic and I know that I suck at tournaments. Why waste the money trying to make a big score when I can go grind it out in a cash game??

Anyway, my talents will better serve me over at the Rio, taking pictures, writing a few articles, and railing my friends. Good luck ladies!!!!

This weekend has been a BLAST like always. I'm happy to report it's Sunday and (knock on wood) I still have a functioning camera (miss you Al), I'm relatively even for the weekend thanks to my baby Waffles going deep in the blogger tourney! I had half of him and he got third place!! woo hoo

Quick highlights...

- I played at the MGM Friday night/Saturday morning until 7:00 a.m. We had more cleavage at our table than I've seen at Hooters. See this trip report for a nice discussion of the boobies that were at our table!!! Waffles was in cleavage heaven!!!!!

- The supermodel is back in town.



He looks really good in black - I'm sure Kat and Jules would agree with me. See what you guys are missing out on?


- Grubby and Dr. Pauly made guest appearances at our blogger event!!!! Always nice to have some veterans among us.

- I got a room key for the Orleans and the Rio so far for my collection. You guys rock!!!

- Hoyazo not only cashed in a WSOP event - but even better than that he told me that he doesn't even watch Dancing with the Stars, but he watched all of my clips from last season because if I said Apollo did a mean rhumba, then dammit he was going to watch!! It made my day....



He's always smiling - if I had to pick a most congenial blogger during the WPBT Hoyazo would get the award.

Although, I have to say that Falstaff is right up there with Hoy in the smiles and happiness department.

Thanks for putting this shindig together Falstaff - your the man and we are having a great time.
