Another year is coming to an end. I can't believe how fast these years are flying by. I don't have anything planned for New Years yet. It's so lame, it's totally amateur night, but I still want to hit the casino and play some slots or something.


I really don't know. I'm at a loss. What do you guys have planned for New Years?

Another one bites the dust

Well, another year is over and another Christmas has come and gone. I still get a little sad when the day is over, all of the presents are opened and all the excitement is gone. Not that I was even very excited at all for Christmas this year, but still, it's like, a let down when it's all said and done. I'm kind of like "what now?"

I did get some really great gifts this year... I got some cool boots that I wanted, but the left one is too tight. Yes, I guess my left foot is wider than my right foot, so that's annoying. It's really noticeable with these boots. So, they have to go back. I would just grin and bear it, but it really hurts. I tried wearing them today for a while and it was a no go.

I also got some cute shirts and jeans and a really awesome fuzzy blanket and unfortunately, the one thing that I really wanted was some gift cards or some cash and I got neither of those. OH well. Well, I got an I Tunes gift card, but I need a new ipod. I don't have one at this point. I was also hoping for a camera but I didn't get one those either. My mom got a nice one though. I guess I can use hers til I get one of my own.

Usually I'd be planning some big exciting adventure for New Years, but I seriously doubt that I'll be doing anything major this year. I don't have anything planned yet. How about you guys??

Oh well, gotta head to the cannery. Wish me luck.

Pricey Nap

I never really got into the Jersey Shore when it was on T.V. But, I've had some free time on my hands, so I decided to log onto MTV website and start watching the full episodes. hehe Wow. I can relate to so much of this stuff. I'm an Italian girl that did a lot of partying so I'm cracking up watching this show. Ahhhhhhh the memories!

I know I missed the entire first season, but why in the heck are they sooooooo mean to Angelina?? The girls are total bitches to her, the guys are rude and I believe the Situation uttered these words... "Angelina is like the Statten Island Ferry, Everyone gets a ride and it's free". Sheesh! A little harsh considering the girls are having just as much sex and the guys of course bring home different chicks every night. I'm just unsure as to the reason why they all hate her so much.

I did a quick in and out at the new Cosmopolitan today. A new upscale Spanish tapas restaurant is opening and they were doing interviews. Nice place! There were a lot of people applying so I won't get my hopes up, but it was good to get out there and do something productive for once.

Last night I went to see the Tourist movie with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp. Now, granted, I was a little tired, but come on! I slept through the entire flick. It was slow moving and that's really all I remember. I can't exactly weigh in because as I mentioned, I slept through the whole thing. My mom was thrilled about the $10.50 she wasted on my nap. hehe

Well, Merry Christmas to every one. I'll probably be around tomorrow, but a lot of u probably won't.

Update

Guess what kids?! Case closed. All done. I feel like I just won the Superbowl or a Grammy or something. I can officially say that all court dates are completed. There are no traffic tickets, parking tickets, misdemeanors or felonies hanging over my head. I'm making a fresh start and the first step is finding a job. No more sitting on my lazy butt. I used to love working, meeting new people and making fat cash. So, it's time to get back into that groove. I think I'll log onto craigslist right now.

Now, I just need to get some Christmas shopping done and I'll be ready for the holidays. I've been a major slacker in the gift buying department, which is unusual because I love to shop!!

Should Be...

I should be sleeping, but whatever, I'm probably too wired and nervous about tomorrow. I have to be up by 6 and out the door by 7, so what if I don't get any sleep? I'll be in and out of court by 9 so then I can sleep all day if I want. And, if I'm in jail, I'll be doing plenty of sleeping there too. ha ha They don't exactly entertain you in there, so lots of sleeping to be done by all.

What is with this Vegas craptastic weather? I'm so over it. It's been raining for like 4 days and it's still coming down. I can't believe it. The sun's not supposed to return until like Thursday. Yuck.

I was thinking about an interesting turn of events. Well, this happened a while ago, but anyway, when I was in my 20's I actually donated my eggs a few times. I received something to the tune of $4000 tax free every time. Very nice. IT was a lot of work though. During the whole process I had to be tested for like everything under the sun and genetic diseases were included. Since I'm partly jewish, they tested me and found out that I'm a carrier for tay sachs. Ever heard of it? It's a pretty nasty disorder and if I was to mate with a jewish guy and he was also a carrier we could have a baby that would definitely die most likely by the age of 4 if it had this disease because there's no cure. Pretty good stuff to know huh?? I for one am glad I found out.

Tay-Sachs disease is a fatal genetic disorder that causes progressive destruction of the central nervous system in children.

Symptoms:
A baby with Tay-Sachs disease appears normal at birth and seems to develop normally until about six months of age. The first signs can vary and are evident at different ages in affected children. Initially, development slows, there is a loss of peripheral vision, and the affected child exhibits an abnormal, startled response to noise. By about two years of age, most affected children experience recurrent seizures and diminishing mental function. The affected child regresses gradually, loses skills one by one, and is eventually unable to crawl, turn over, sit or reach out. Other symptoms include increasing loss of coordination, progressive inability to swallow and breathing difficulties. Eventually, the affected child becomes blind, mentally retarded, paralyzed, and unresponsive to his or her environment.

Too Early

I had to get up at the butt crack of dawn today to turn in some paperwork. The office I had to go to always has a line forming at the door around 6:30 a.m. So, I got there at like 6:45 and I got the first number!! Yay!!!! It wasn't because I was the first one there, but like most of the people were going to a different department. So, I lucked out. They called my number almost immediately, I turned everything and I was out the door and home by 7:30 a.m. Nice! So, of course, I have one last court date to deal with and then I'm completely out of the woods. It's a big one though. I'm a little nervous to say the least. My stomach is in knots this morning and I don't even have to go to court for 24 hours. So, wish me luck, pray for me, do a little voo doo if necessary. ha ha


Other than that, everything is good. I haven't done any Christmas shopping at all. I guess I'm just waiting to see what happens tomorrow. Not that I really have much money anyway, but we'll see. So, I'm gonna try to eat a bagel and drink a coke. I'm exhausted. Need to wake up. On the agenda for today... I'm hoping to meet up with my friend Angie from way back when. I met her in a detox facility like years ago and she stayed clean. So proud of her. So, we are going to a meeting and then I'm going to see Don's new house. And I'll be driving my awesome new car that I got a while ago that I've barely driven because well, that's another story for another day.

So, in the past two weeks,I've accomplished about 3 months worth of stuff that I was supposed to do. Like, taking care of tickets, appearing in court, going to multiple appointments at office with long ass lines, and tomorrow is the last day of yuckiness that I have to deal with sort of. I have to go to another office on Wednesday to turn everything in and then back to court on Monday for a final appearance and then I'm done done done. I couldn't be happier.

My house guest moves into his own place tomorrow, just in time for my uncle to fly in from Detroit for the holidays. So, yes, I'll be on the couch for yet another 2 weeks - a mo nth. He didn't buy a return ticket so I have no idea how long he's staying. It's all good. I'm happy to do it.

I haven't had the chance to buy one christmas present this year. Not one. I'm probably going to brave the malls on Thursday or Friday with my dad and uncle. I just need some greenery to take with me. If only I could keep it in my wallet and out of the slots.

I swear, I played for like 3 hours tonight at the Cannery and if I could, I'd go back down there again right now. Pathetic right?

I subbed for a team last night on my parent's bowling league. Being a sub is the best. You don't have to pay anything and you get to bowl for free. Me likey!

It's Saturday night and I just got home from the bloggers tourney. I'm not sure about all of the details, but MiamiDon and I were texting back and forth and it looks like he chopped first place with someone else. Awesome!!! That's a nice chunk of change. Congratulations Don!! I think he gets the trophy, the firstplace title and bragging rights for the whole next year. Good job sweety - you deserve it!!

I didn't end up playing because the buy in was $120 and that's exactly how much money I have to last me a while and I just couldn't see blowing it on this tournament that I BARELY had a chance of winning. I'm not a great tournament player, I'm very impatient and I'm rusty as well. Now, if they had a video keno tournament, I'm your woman!!

Waffles busted out early as hell when he had set over set. There's no getting away from that hand, so we hung out for a good portion of the day. I lost my ass off at the Aria, I went to the IP and they didn't have any video keno machines. WHAT THE? I was shocked!! What kind of crazy bull cocka doo doo is this? Seriously? None? So, we walked over the bridge to Harrah's where we found video keno, but of course 25 cents was the lowest they had. I continued to lose my ass off there and taught Waffles how to do the same. All in all, good day. I wish I could have hung out longer to see everyone from the final table etc. But, I had my mom's car and they wanted me to have it home at a reasonable time (we agreed on 10:30 p.m.) It's all good. I heard they are having a huge spread over at the Palazzo tomorrow for breakfast. So, I think I'll take dear old dad down there with me for some free grub. Mom's working or else I know she's always down for free food.

So, court on Thursday went well I guess. I mean, If you consider a $2000 fine to be a good thing. I don't really think it's a good thing, especially for a first offense, but well, that's Vegas for ya. They are kind enough to let me make payments for the next ten months. Good times.

One more court date to go and then I'm completely done with everything. In the mean time, I have a few things to finish up this week before I go back and then all will be well.

It's officially Sunday morning and it's time for me to do my weekly unemployment filing. Did the Obama unemployment extension bill pass?? I'm hoping I will fall under the umbrella of people that get another extension. If not, then I guess i'll be looking for a job asap.

Good Thing

Wow! Good Day today! I told you guys I was cleaning house on the blog advertising issue and thankfully most of my advertisers stepped right up to the plate and sent payments, which, I in turn sent in FULL to my parent's bank account. I couldn't be happier that I'm finally paying them back. Obviously the money I've given them doesn't come close to the money they've laid out on me, but it feels so good to give them something!

My all day appt. started this morning at 7:30 a.m. and ended promptly around 9:30 a.m. What can I say? I work fast! So, I had the rest of the day free to hangout and do whatever. It was nice.

MiamiDon, Dad and I went to the Cannery buffet for dinner tonight which was good and then I lost my ass off on the machines, but I didn't have much to spend, so my ass was pretty small tonight. ha ha

Side note... I went to the Silver Nugget last night for a few minutes. Wasn't impressed. The music was good though!

Tomorrow, court, not looking forward to it. It's not a big huge deal but I was supposed to do traffic school a while back and I sort of kind of forgot to do it. So, I ended up doing it last night, but i'm way past the date I was given for completion and there's another smallish thing I have to deal with while I'm there and I'm just a little nervous. Most likely everything will be okay. Fingers crossed.

Day Ten and I'm a New Woman

Hi guys,

I'm back and feeling like a new woman. Seriously, in the past week I feel like I've been resurrected from the dead. I'm looking better, feeling better, I'm refreshed and I'm ready to get on with my life.

So, a little housekeeping... I let my ad renewals fall by the total wayside over the past year and all of my advertisers got to run their ads for free. Well, the freeride is now over and i'm cleaning house. I've e-mailed most of you guys, but there are a few e-mail addresses I can't find. robyn green with the roulette ad, if you are out there please contact me or I'll have to pull your ad. Additionally, Mark Heller, if you know him or his e-mail address or if he's reading, please contact me or your ad too will have to be pulled. I hate to pull ads and that's why I've let them run for so long, but it's time!

Okay, anyway, I'm so excited to see the bloggers this weekend. The timing couldn't have worked out any better for me. Three of my advertisers made payment today, so I have money (I think) to play in the poker tournament this weekend at the Aria. I'm psyched! The reason I think I'll have the money is because I basically promised all of my ad money, unemployment money and my first born to my parents because they have spent SO much money bailing me out of trouble, again, so I'm just trying to talk dear old mom into letting me take some of teh ad money to play with. She'll probably do it because she's awesome and I've really been working my ass off to fix all of the messes I created.

Today for instance, I left the house at 6:30 a.m. and had appts. with three different places and I was gone most of the day and night and it's now past midnight and I'm just now sitting down to eat some dinner and blog. Tomorrow, again, I'm leaving the house at 7 a.m. for a 7:30 appt. I'll be there for about 7 hours and then I'll do it again on Friday. Tonight I had driving school - again, but this one was in person and not online. I got a 98 percent on the test though - woo hoo! Highest in the class!! I'm a good test taker and i can memorize the hell out of some traffic stuff, I just have a REALLY hard time actually following those traffic laws in real life. hehe

Thursday I have to go back to court, I practically live there. It's good times.

So, anyway, I'm so happy to be posting again and I'm needing to know what everyone is doing Friday night. Is the MGM still the place to be on Friday when the bloggers come into town?? I hope to be there Friday but I'll certainly be there on Saturday and Waffles - I can't wait to see the new slim and trim machine that you are. How exciting!!
